Goals

The main task was to create a system that could effectively track the movements of medical equipment and personnel in real time. This not only improves control over resources, but also provides a unique opportunity to demonstrate tracking and positioning technologies to potential customers of the company.

Realization

To implement the project, Indoors Navigation used Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology. Special receivers were installed in several rooms of the showroom to read the marking signals (Navitag) attached to medical equipment. These tags send signals in real time, which allows the system to accurately display their location on the map with an error of up to 0.5 meters.

The main stages of implementation:

• Infrastructure installation: UWB receivers were installed inside the showroom, which record the signals from the tags. Their installation was carried out in such a way as to cover all the necessary zones for asset tracking.
• Integration of the system with the Indoors Navigation Platform: The system was fully integrated into the INP platform, which allowed for real-time movement monitoring and route recording.
• Routes and analytics: Thanks to the system, employees can view complete equipment movement routes, analyze data, and use it to demonstrate to customers.

• Tracking of medical equipment: It is now possible to monitor the movements of expensive equipment in real time, thus avoiding its loss or misuse.
• Personnel control: The system helps to control how and when personnel use certain equipment, providing an increased level of control over resources.
• Demonstration of capabilities: The company's showroom has become an excellent platform for demonstrating the capabilities of tracking medical assets to clients. The technical component

The use of UWB technology has made it possible to achieve high positioning accuracy of up to 0.5 meters, which is especially important in medical institutions where precise placement and control of equipment is required. The main advantages of UWB include:

• High accuracy: The positioning error is minimal and is up to 50 cm, which allows you to accurately track even small movements of objects.
• Low power consumption: The tags work for a long time without the need for frequent battery replacement (up to 2 weeks).
• Interference resistance: The technology is resistant to interference and can operate in dense buildings or in the presence of other signals.
