Project objectives

The main objective of this project was to create a convenient and intuitive navigation system for shopping mall visitors without the need to install a mobile application. In today's world, where users strive for instant accessibility of information, it was important to offer a solution that allows you to quickly navigate a large room and find the right object — be it a store, restaurant or any other place in the complex.

Decision

To solve this problem, the Indoors Navigation Platform (INP) has implemented a system based on scanning QR codes that are located on the walls of the complex. The user does not need to download and install a mobile application — just scan the nearest QR code using the smartphone camera to open the interactive Park Mall map in the browser.

After scanning, the visitor sees his current location on the map and can use the built—in search system to find the desired object - from shops and restaurants to entertainment areas. The system will automatically plot the shortest route to the selected point, displaying it directly in the browser. This minimizes the search time and makes navigation simple and convenient for every user.

Usage examples

• Shop navigation: The visitor can easily find any store in the shopping mall by specifying it in the search on the map. After that, the system will suggest the best route based on the user's current location.
• Search for restaurants and entertainment areas: For guests who want to visit a restaurant or entertainment, the system also provides quick routes, making it easy to navigate the multi-level space of the complex.
• Interactive event support: The platform allows event or promotion organizers to add timestamps and routes, which makes the system useful in the context of various events.

The technical component

The QR navigation module INP was used to implement the project. QR codes are placed on all key points of the shopping center, which allows users to determine their location at any time and choose the best route to their destination. INP technology guarantees high accuracy of the map display and the routes being laid.

Advantages for visitors and the mall:

• Convenience: The ease of using the system without the need to download an application makes navigation accessible to all categories of users, from the young to the elderly.
• Reduced development costs: No need to create a separate navigation application can significantly reduce system development and maintenance costs.
• Improving the user experience: Fast and accurate navigation reduces stress levels for visitors, increasing loyalty and satisfaction.
