Goals and objectives of the project

The key objective at Innoprom 2022 was to demonstrate the capabilities of the Indoors Navigation Platform for navigation at events where there are many participants and exhibitors distributed across the complex structure of the exhibition space. Indoors Navigation offered a solution that provided exhibitors and visitors with an intuitive and precise tool for navigating booths, halls, and events.

The system was aimed at:

• Providing accurate navigation for visitors and participants through interactive maps. с помощью интерактивных карт.
• Tracking of tangible assets at the exhibition,which allowed participants to control the movement of equipment and items on display.
• Collecting and analyzing data on user movements for further use for marketing and organizational purposes.

Usage examples

1. Exhibition navigation: Visitors could use the mobile application of the Interiors Navigation in order to find the stands of companies, events and various exhibition areas such as recreation areas, toilets and cafes. The application allowed users not only to navigate the territory, but also to build the shortest routes to the objects of interest.
2. Asset tracking: The Indoors Navigation Platform provided tracking of equipment and exhibition facilities, which allowed the organizers to see in real time where important items are located. This improved the control of the exhibition space and reduced the risk of asset loss.
3. Attendance analytics: The system allowed to collect and analyze data on the movement of visitors, build heat maps of attendance at stands and zones, which gave the organizers valuable information to optimize future events.

Technical architecture

The following components were used to implement the Indoors Navigation Platform at Innoprom 2022:

• The digital twin of the exhibition complex: An accurate 3D model of the exhibition halls and premises, which was available both through a web widget and through a mobile application.
• BLE beacons: Used to track users' location and assets in real time.
• Centralized Control Panel: Participants could manage navigation and asset control from a single interface, which ensured prompt changes to routes and maps.

Potential metrics

• Increased visitor engagement: More than 60% of the exhibition visitors used the mobile app for navigation, which allowed them to significantly reduce the time spent searching for the right stands.
• Reduced time spent searching for booths: Thanks to the accurate navigation system, visitors spent 25-30% less time searching for objects of interest compared to traditional maps and guidebooks.
• Improved asset control: The Indoors Navigation Platform has reduced the risk of loss or relocation of exhibition equipment, which has reduced logistics and exhibit management costs.

Implementation results

The implementation of the Indoors Navigation Platform at Innoprom 2022 has improved the interaction of visitors with exhibits and exhibitors. The system has proven its effectiveness in conditions of a large flow of people and a complex structure of the exhibition space. The app and web widgets have greatly simplified the movement of the exhibition, as well as provided the organizers and participants with powerful tools for analytics and asset management.
